	The year is 1977; the battle versus Dark Lord Voldemort rages on, ensuring the Wizarding World is in a state of utter dismay, terror, and hostility. He and His Death Eaters kill, torture, and enslave; the Order of the Phoenix anxiously gathers members; many people are forced to evacuate their homes and go into hiding. The Ministry still stands strong, although they, too, are in apprehension. For the students and staff at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, however, life goes on. Regular trips to Hogsmeade are scheduled for anyone over the Third Year, lessons rove on, and the usual gossip buzzes about the school. Talk about the war is almost the last thing on anyone's mind, as O.W.L.s for the Fifth Years and N.E.W.T.s for Sixth and Seventh Years are studied for, and Quidditch Tryouts and the Start of Term Ball are greatly anticipated. Newly bought school robes are shown off, as are polished wands, quills, even the latest broomstick. Friendships last forever now, as do adversaries; hearts are broken, hearts are mended; and the Houses of Hogwarts have never been closer together-- or farther apart. Where do you stand? Will you live your life to the fullest? Will you take the path of the Ministry of Magic, will you aspire to become a renowned Quidditch Player? Will you benefit the Wizarding World with your knowledge, your helping hand, your courage, you deviousness? Shall you sway into the hands of good, toward the Order of the Phoenix? Or might you dip into the Dark Arts, and get a taste of raw power, as do Death Eaters? Will you live for now; dwell in the past; dream for the future? i'm going to save you a long-winded speech about how tkc came to an early demise and how wonderful my time here was.

instead, i'd like to thank each and every one of you loyal members for sticking it through the end and sincerely wish you better roleplaying experiences then this.

unfortunately, you all saw it coming. these kinds of things happen.

you will never recieve another email from tkc, nor will you hear of its reopening. that's just the way the wind blows, i guess.
